Session abstract

Discrete harmonic analysis lies at the intersection of harmonic analysis, analytic number theory, ergodic theory, and additive combinatorics. In recent years, substantial progress has been made on discrete analogues of classical operators and on problems in which arithmetic structure creates phenomena absent from the continuous setting.

This special session will bring together researchers working on recent developments in discrete harmonic analysis and closely related areas. The session aims to highlight new results and methods, explore interactions between harmonic-analytic and arithmetic techniques, and provide a forum for discussing emerging directions and open problems. It will also encourage communication and collaboration among researchers with different perspectives and at different career stages.
